Counselling

Counselling is a type of ‘talking therapy’ where people come to talk about their problems and life concerns in a safe confidential setting with a caring professional. Counsellor can help people to create action plans and develop coping strategies so they can deal with their issues or problems in a better way.

Dr. Bassem Badr

Consultant Psychiatrist

Dr. Bassem Hamed Mohamed Badr is an Assistant Professor, Board Certified Consultant Psychiatrist, Member and Fellow of American Psychiatric Association, with more than 25 years of experience. He graduated from Alexandria University in 1993 with MBBch in Medicine, he then went to complete further education with a Diploma of Psychiatry and Addiction Practice(WHO), Master of Science in Neuropsychiatry, Diploma in Mental Health, Diploma in Hospital Administration and then ultimately received his Medical Doctorate and PhD in Psychiatry in 2008 at University of Suez Canal in Egypt.

He was honored by the attainment of American Psychiatric Association Membership in 2014 followed by the International Fellowship in 2017.

He is an excellent and spectacular expert in the field of adult and adolescence psychiatry especially in treating personality, mood, depression, anxiety, sleeping and eating disorders. Additionally, diagnosis and management of early psychosis.

 

Moreover, he is licensed as an Aviation Consultant Psychiatrist and he has long experience in management  of different kinds of addiction disorders . He adopts an approach that is based on a combination of the psyche, the soma, and the spirit through both scientific and philosophical overviews.

Not only has Dr. Bassem worked in Senior Roles in Hospitals in Dubai, Kuwait, and Egypt, but he has also been a Lecturer and Professor at several Educational Institutes, a peer speaker and coordinator for various addiction treatment programs. He has contributed to scientific research in a number of medical journals. He is a talented writer in the field of social and psychological problems and has had many publications in reputable newspapers and magazines.

 

Dr. Sravani Behara

Dr. Sravani M.B.B.S, M.D ( Psychiatry) served as an Asst professor in a 650 Bedded tertiary care teaching hospital(Nimra Institute of Medical Sciences) for more than three years and one year in a government medical college(Siddhartha  medical college).

Experienced in managing mental health conditions across all age groups in both OP, IP settings using various pharmacological and psychological approaches.

Experienced in handling child guidance, geriatric, deaddiction, general adult clinics.

Taken part in research studies and provided teaching to MBBS students.

She graduated as the first Psychologist Specializing in Multicultural Counseling from the World Renowned and Prestigious Johns Hopkins University in the United States and following on served as a Faculty Associate in the Graduate School of Counseling for 7 years. Sailaja is an American of Indian-origin, born in Malaysia and spent her childhood there before moving to India where she spent most of her formative years.
